Travelling from Melbourne, Echuca/Moama is only 250km drive. The twin towns are the closest point to the Murray River from Victoria’s capital city. Travelling by train, flying in by plane or traveling by bus, we will pick you up and return you to either the train station, Echuca aerodrome or bus terminal all free of charge. You can organise this when making your booking or just give us a call when you arrive by ringing the Big River Motel on 5482 2522.

The Visitors information centre is located on the banks of the Murray River ion the centre of town. Talk to locals themselves, who will give you lots of knowledge about the attractions, tours, map and much more. Once at the Motel, you do not have to walk if you don’t wish to. The town transit bus picks up at the back of the Motel every hour, 8am to 5 pm Monday to Friday and 3 times on a Saturday morning. Of an afternoon or evening, if a flutter is the name of the game, we can arrange for a courtesy bus to pick you up from the front of the Big River Motel, deliver you to any of our five clubs and return you back to the Motel.
